Tiny ODX Viewer

The Open Diagnostic eXchange format (ODX) is a standard created by ASAM that uses XML to describe diagnostic data for ECUs. This open specification permits sharing of information across tools from different manufacturers in a way that was not possible with earlier ad hoc or proprietary systems.
The ODX standard is very large and “flexible”, which means that OEMs tend to implement it in different ways. But while one OEM’s implementation may vary from another’s, much of the file format remains the same, allowing an ODX processor to readily load and parse OEM-specific ODX files.
Intrepid created this tool for customers working with ODX files who want to learn more about the format. The tool allows you to view ODX files and also search the ODX specification. Intrepid also supports loading ODX files in Vehicle Spy.

Setup Steps:

  1. Copy the .EXE file to any folder.
  2. If you wish to search the ODX specification, copy it to the same folder, and be sure it is named “ODX.pdf”.
  3. Open the tool and use it to view ODX files and/or the specification.
